At the invitation of Professor Yang Yongchun from College of Earth and Environmental Sciences, Lanzhou University, Professor Frank Witlox, the dean of the Geography Department of Ghent University and editor-in-chief of the internationally renowned academic journal “Journal of Transport Geography”, gave a report entitled “ Understanding Changes in (Travel) Behaviour” through an online conference on October 13th.

Based on choice，individual habit and social practice, the report constructed an explanatory framework for (travel) behavioral decision-making involving theories of economics, psychology, sociology, and other disciplines, which provided deep insights for understanding individual (travel) behavior.

After the report, many teachers and students had a full discussion with Professor Frank Witlox on the content of the report and current issues. This lecture stimulated interest in the study of travel behavior problems, and the teachers and students on site benefited a lot.
