On November 25, 2019, Luo Yong, a Professor from State Key Laboratory of Cryosphere Science, Center for Earth System Science of Tsinghua University, went to Yuzhong Campus of Lanzhou University to teach the course of "Introduction to Cryosphere Science" for undergraduates.

Professor Luo gave a comprehensive and detailed explanation of the cryosphere component model and the estimation of cryosphere changes, including climatic system model, cryosphere partial model, cryosphere process simulation, and climate change factors. Meanwhile, combing with the latest scientific research progress, he systematically introduced climate change forecast and estimate of changes in cryosphere elements such as sea ice, snow, and frozen soil.
