Sun Fubao, researcher and Ph.D. supervisor, has long been engaged in research on global change and land surface hydrothermal patterns. He received his undergraduate and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Water Resources and Hydropower Engineering, Tsinghua University. He is currently the Deputy Director of the Xinjiang Institute of Ecology and Geography of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and a member of the Party Committee. He is also the Deputy Director of the State Key Laboratory of Desert and Oasis Ecology and the Director of the Aksu National Field Scientific Observation and Research Station for Farmland Ecosystems. He has been awarded the National Outstanding Young Scientists Fund, the National High-Level Talents Programme, and the High-Level Talents Programme of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (excellent final evaluation). He has been awarded the EGU Outstanding Young Scientist Award and the Best Paper Award (top 1%) in Water Resources Research by the American Institute of Physics. He has published more than 80 papers in academic journals and has been cited more than 2000 times. He has published more than 80 papers in academic journals, with over 2000 citations, including first or corresponding authorship in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America (PNAS), Water Resources Research, Journal of Climate He has published 50 papers in internationally renowned SCI journals such as Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences of the United States of America (PNAS), Water Resources Research, Journal of Climate, Journal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres, etc. His main academic appointments include Editor of Earth System Dynamics, Editor of Environmental Research Letters, Chairman of the 10th Sino-German Frontier Science Symposium, Council Member of the Chinese Society of Natural Resources, and Council Member of the Chinese Society of Cryospheric Science.
