Lecturer Profile

Pei Tao is currently a researcher at the Institute of Geographic Sciences and Natural Resources Research, Chinese Academy of Sciences, a doctoral supervisor, deputy director of the State Key Laboratory of Resources and Environmental Information Systems, a recipient of the National Outstanding Youth Fund, and the chief scientist of the national key research and development project "Geographic Big Data Mining and Pattern Discovery". He has won the Lu Jiaxi Young Talent Award of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the 11th National Youth Geographic Science and Technology Award, and was selected for the national "Millions of Talents Project".

Lecture Introduction

Based on the main achievements of the National Key R&D Program project presided over by the reporter, the system and application progress of geographic big data mining methods were systematically expounded. The content of the report mainly includes the classification and characteristics of big geographic data-oriented to research objects, the basic units of geographic big data mining: the meaning of map patches and locations, the basic thinking of geographic big data mining, and the progress of big data mining methods and applications for surface patterns and crowd behavior.
